can not access files in v5.0.5

Featured Replies

I just upgraded  unRAID from 4.7 to 5.0.5 and cannot access any movies in windows.  Windows explorer lists all of the movies in my user share videovault/movies but when I select a movie I get the message " Windows cannot access \\videovault\movies\2010 .. you do not have permission" Do I need to change some setting? I did not have any problem with 4.7. windows explorer lists all of the individual disks in my array under 5.0.5 which it did not with 4.7 but I cannot access the movies under the disk or user share.

Have you run the 'New Permissions' step if the upgrade from 4.7 to 5?  If not then running that will most likely fix your permission problems.

You might also want to try clearing any cashed credentials on the Windows system(s).

Whether the individual disks are seen as shares in v5 depends on the settings you have set for each drive.    You can click on a drive in the main GUI window to change its visibility.

Thanks itimpi . I guess I missed that step in the upgrade instructions. Everything works fine now.
