Hi I'm cleaning up my media collection, and need to delete some files. Som of the files gets deleted, but others gives the error; 

 

you need permission to preform this action

you require permission from Unix User\100 to make changes to this file

 

So I looked in the webUI and found in the utils tab; new permissions.

 

will this reset the ownership of the files, so i can modify or delete them?

Yes.

 

It can take anywhere from minutes to hours to run, depending on how many files you have. Leave the window it generates open until you get a complete signal. If that doesn't straighten out your issue, you may have file system corruption.
