I'm running V6b6 and don't get a prompt on my console.  The last thing it says is:

 

Starting libvirtd...

 

and then nothing.  The server boots fine.  Can get to the web GUI and access everything.  Going thru the syslog it looks like the next thing it does is the go script but I haven't changed that.  So I'm not sure.

 

I don't know exactly when this started.  I only noticed when I went to preclear a new drive.  I can still ssh into the serve just fine.

 

I've tried reinstalling the flash drive and get the same thing.

 

Any ideas.

Make sure you are running the most recent version of cachedirs. Previous versions went into an infinite loop when started from go file on unRAID 6. It keeps the boot process from finishing and the login prompt doesn't show up.

Thanks Freddie.  That was exactly it. 

 

I know better.  I wasn't thinking of cachedirs as an addon.  It's "just a script", how could it be messing things up.  Well seeing as that's the only thing not stock with unRaid and that's right where it was failing at... Sigh.  Lesson re-learned.  Start stock and add to it.  When it fails there is your problem.
