August 12, 201411 yr Forgive me if this is a dumb question. I have just rebuilt my unRAID server with a 2 CPU machine. Each CPU has two cores. I just added a total of 16 gigabytes of RAM. From what I have read in the manual of the motherboard, the RAM is actually 8 gigabytes per CPU. Maybe even 4 gigabytes per core. I am not sure about that last point. My question is, how does unRAID use multiple CPUs and multiple cores? Is there anyway I can tell that both CPUs are being fully utilized or that all of the cores are being fully utilized? For what it is worth, I also have 3 or 4 Docker Containers running as well. As it currently stands I am assuming that unRAID sees everything I have in terms of CPUs cores and RAM, and is using the best of these resources as it needs them. Is that correct? Or should I be doing something specifically to make sure that the resources are used in the best way possible?
August 12, 201411 yr UnRAID will use all of your CPU's and cores. I don't remember the new limit, but Tom recently updated the CPU support to support a significant number of CPU's/cores ... I think it was something like 32 cores, but a quick search didn't find his post.
