Docker Port Question

Recommended Posts

I am attempting to create a rtorrent-rutorrent docker. rutorrent's port by default is <server_IP>:rutorrent, but docker doesn't want to expose a port with letters. Is there a way to make docker forward the port "rutorrent" or is there a better way to do this?

P.S. I probably should have started with creating an easier program like SickBeard as my first docker...  ::) My docker file is currently 1.4 GB lol

There is no such thing as port rutorrent. I suggest a few hours on google reading TCP/IP basics will help you immesuably getting you up to speed if you are getting into these kind of things.

If you can provide a link to your github page we can help more but you have some reading to do.

FYI rT + ruT is a seriously non trivial docker to try
