I logged into my server today and saw a red dot and unraid telling me I had a missing disk.

 

I shut down my server moved that disk to a different port. Started unraid back up. Still says it is missing.

 

I now took a drive an empty drive out of my version 5 unraid (i am slowly moving stuff over to new 6 computer) put it in and I am rebuilding the array.

 

For giggles I put the old drive into the version 5 unraid machine (it only has 1 2tb drive and the cache drive left in it with no parity). Reinitialized the array and added that drive. Started the array and boom everything is there.

 

Any hints on what happened?
