August 18, 201411 yr My flash drive keeps going corrupt and I lose all my shares. If I plug it into my windows machine it repairs it and works for a couple days then the same thing. I assume the flash drive is bad. I have a backup copy of all files on the flash drive. My question is once I make a new USB bootable can I just copy all the files and folders over to the new flash? I assume I can get my license reset for the new flash?
August 18, 201411 yr Yes - it should just be a case of copying over the files and (possibly) running the make_bootable batch file. You are going to need to contact Limetech describing what has happened and give them the GUID of the current USB drive, and of the one you intend to use as a replacement. You might want to also consider whether you should take the offer of another license for $30 which would give you a backup/spare unRAID USB stick.
August 18, 201411 yr Author Ok thanks. So I should be able to copy my backup files over including config and extras. Run make_bootable and that's it? I assume all plugins will be good to go then? Other then acquiring a new key.
