Is it just me? The problems are especially bad at night (UK Time) I guess when the USA is awake.

Other sites seem ok....

While there are a few times when that's true, it's not a general issue most of the time.  I suspect it's just network congestion ... and may be a bit worse due to the transatlantic hop.

 

Curious if others have seen this issue ... especially in Europe.

 

I've noticed slower performance, Mostly in screen updates. I thought it was just me.

I get partial forum output, then a few seconds later get the other half of it.

I've noticed it too.  Looking at website statistics it doesn't appear to be any huge jump in hits or bandwidth that accounts for it.  It's still on a shared hosting server so maybe vps.net loaded more users onto same server.  We do have a vps that we'll eventually be moving the forum to.

Actually, while I haven't had slow responses to get to the forum, the updates after I post a comment have indeed been notably slower.    I thought perhaps Tom had moved to a different host -- but clearly that's not the issue.

 

It's not "slow" ... just a tad slower than it used to be.
