Docker - Needo's Sickbeard - Renaming Problem

Featured Replies

Hello Everyone,

I wasn't sure if I should start a new thread or to put this in Needo's thread, but I figured it would be best to just open a new post for the issue.

I am running Needo's sickbeard docker. I just choose it from the drop down list from gfjardim's plugin. (fantastic work btw!)

However I am having a HUGE issue with Re-naming, and for the life of me cannot figure it out.

When I configure renaming, I configure it like the following:

Season %0S/S%0SE%0E - %EN

Ideally, this should put any episode in it's season folder, and name it like "S01E01 - That Show I watch"

Except thats not whats happening at all :-(

Instead whats happening is it properly renames all the files and moves them to the root of the show folder, then deletes the season folder.

I have even tried completely deleting the container and image for sickbeard and re-downloading them. (However I did not delete my config file or DB i am re-using those)

So I suppose my question is, has anyone else run into this issue before?

Is this a docker related problem, or should I go post in the Sickbeard forums?

I have very similar syntax for Sickbeard rename:

Season %S/%SN S%0SE%0E - %EN

It does behave as expected.

However, if you are using SAB & SB then it can be a bit tricky sometimes to determine which app actually does the rename/move.

I've configured SAB to rename similarly:

Season %s/%sn S%0sE%0e - %en.%ext

Are you using SAB? If so, how do you have the categories field filled out? It may not be SB doing the work, but SAB. It's important to make sure both are configured for renaming to be safe. :)

Hello bkastner,

Thank you for the help, unfortunately this is not a post processing issue. I already moved the files to where I want them to be, they are in the correct folders. I just want Sickbeard to rename them. Please view the attached picture, Notice how Sickbeard isn't even recognizing the season folder for the new location.  When I hit the option to rename, it deletes the season folder, and puts the files in the root of the TV show folder.

Ahh, sorry, I mis-understood.

I don't use SB for this... I have metabrowser installed which managed all my TV show folders. SAB/SB manage with new shows and meta browser manages everything else and keeps it all consistent for me.

Could anyone else running needo's Sickbeard docker, give a preview rename a try and see if they experience the same issue? At least that way I would know if I was the cause of the issue.

Thank You

OH man! How dumb do I feel right now? So I posted my issue on the sickbeard forums as well, and a user their suggested that I check to make sure that flat:

Flatten files (no folders):

Was not checked. It was enabled, which was the reason for all my issues. I have no idea how that got enabled. I'm bummed I missed such an obvious detail, but happy the fix was easily implemented.

Thanks for all the help guys!

glad you got it figured out :)
