August 29, 201411 yr I just upgraded motherboard / cpu / controller on my existing server. Also moved from 5.0.5 to a fresh install of 6.b.7. The array is checking parity, and looks OK. How do I get my shares back? Is it simply a matter of checking "enable user shares" in the settings page? Should I copy any config files from the old server?
August 29, 201411 yr If you started from scratch rather than upgrading by just copying bzimage, bzroot, etc. then you can go to the config folder and restore your .cfg files and the shares folder if it exists. Or you can just enable user shares and unRAID will set your shares up with default settings.
August 29, 201411 yr Author Ah, thanks for replying. I'd rather just enable sharing on the new server, and unRAID should find all the root folders and share them. right? My old server was quite old, and the OS went through a few upgrades. I'd rather start with a clean slate.
