New Issues with my unRAID

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I've been running on RC12 for about a year and decided to upgrade to 5.05 about 5 days ago. I noticed no issues other than some strange permissions issues, for example any of the temporary media locations on the cache drive no longer accessible through windows. Transmission Downloads being the one that I normally manage manually, so this morning I did a CHMOD -R 777 just to get access back. It worked, but a short time after I lost access to all network shares in Windows. Telnet/SSH still fine.

I stopped the array and rebooted via SSH and it was fine for about 5 mins then again lost all access via Windows. I assume this is something to do with SMB process failing.

I went through syslog, I can see a lot of 'Out of memory' items, followed by the system killing processes from slimserver to smbd to plex etc etc.

I cant understand what this is related to however. I don't know if the CHMOD command on the /mnt/cache/.custom/transmission/download folder has caused it, or if this is some coincidence. My LINUX/unRAID knowledge is limited to what the good folk here have provided me with, so once again Im asking for help.

Thanks guys :)

oh as mentioned running 5.05.

The issue is due to a misconfigured or incompatible add-on. Post in the User Customizations forum.
