Install recycle bin plg now having permission issues

Featured Replies

Hi,

I installed the recycle bin plg today and then I went to copy and delete something from my apps drive and windows gets a permission error that I have to be TOWER\nobody.  The apps drive is mounted outside the array, and the array seems uneffected.

How can I fix this?

On unraid 5.04, with apps drive mounted via boot.  I've had no issues with this set up until recycle bin app was installed. :(

When the recycle plg is enabled it locks and bin and apps folder completed.  when it's disabled the bin folder disappears, and the apps folder is still accessable.

For example these folders are set to 777 but I can't access them from my windows PC because I'm not nobody.  It doesn't effect the array at all or the other apps running sab and sickbeard. :(  I can look into the folders listed below but can't see any of the files, and NZBtodownload is always empty, the files deposited in there just get loaded to sab and removed.

Can anyone help me on this?

Edited:  Also a file listed in a folder with drwxrwxrwx nobody with can't be deleted either?

Yay, solved it.  The recycle plg installs code to the smb-extra.conf file and it wrote over the public = yes and writeable = yes lines for my apps drive.  Once replaced and double check of the recycle bin code and it's all working fine.

Phew!  I was having a wee bit of a panic there.  Could you tell? ;)
