My M1015 died last week and I'm in need of a new one. Does anyone have one for sale? Would need it flashed to IT Mode.

    Do you guys use cooling for those controllers?

     

    In the specs they (LSI, DELL) mention a certain air flow rate.

    I suppose in a rack server you have those conditions but in a common tower build it is mostly not the case.

    After feeling how hot these got when only upgrading the firmware, I would definitely have cooling if I weren't running these in a server case

    I'll be adding a fan... I have a single 160mm in the front of my small case. I'll just add a 80mm pointed at the heatsink of the card.

    Why not get a chipset fan and mount it directly to the heat sink.
