September 3, 201411 yr I am requesting this as no other torrent client for unraid has rss feeds to auto download.
September 3, 201411 yr PS I know transmission-rss works cause I use it. But I use it in an arch Linux vm
September 4, 201411 yr Author there is no working docker with transmission with a rss feed or flex get.
September 4, 201411 yr Not an RSS Feed, I mean the program "transmission-rss" but I hear ya that it might not be in a docker yet. Either go with an arch VM, or see if it is available as a slack package. No plugin needed, just manually install it along with a copy over of the config file
October 3, 201411 yr I take it no one has attempted a rutorrent docker container yes? Not for unraid but there are alot of dockers out there. https://registry.hub.docker.com/search?q=transmission&s=downloads
October 3, 201411 yr After very quick search without any testing, I found a docker that's based off the typical unRAID base-image using Phusion/BaseImage. Though it looks to lengthier than I expected and very version specific. I'm also not exactly certain if it includes the ruTorrent front-end for it or not. But it might provide motivation to the docker experts to have a starting point to look at, so here it is -- https://github.com/Micka33/docker-rtorrent/blob/master/docker_files/Dockerfile And one based off fedora: https://registry.hub.docker.com/u/jervine/docker-rutorrent-rtorrent/dockerfile/ or https://registry.hub.docker.com/u/jervine/docker-rutorrent/dockerfile/ And one based off ubuntu: https://github.com/paulvalla/docker-rtorrent-rutorrent/blob/master/Dockerfile And a different one: https://registry.hub.docker.com/u/joehazzers/rutorrent/dockerfile/ I currently run the transmission docker, but haven't seen transmission-rss exposed so it would be nice to have one with better (any) RSS support. Hence why I started looking at ruTorrent despite the excellent transmission docker by gfjardim.
October 4, 201411 yr I am requesting this as no other torrent client for unraid has rss feeds to auto download. Deluge has RSS and it works great. All you have to do is install the plugin in deluge and then the same plugin in the gtk client on your desktop and you can configure it. Once configured it will work on unRAID perfectly.
