September 4, 201411 yr I've migrated most of my dockers to the 6b8 version, but noted an oddity. I had all of my app data in a folder at /mnt/cache/apps .... but while all of the dockers appear to be started, none will load via their web interface. I got them to run by using the default path for the config directory at /mnt/user/appdata. I'd like to keep this on my cache so I tried to change them to /mnt/cache/appdata (after copying /appdata to /mnt/cache) but again, none of them will load. OK, I'm not that stubborn, and I switched them back to /mnt/user/appdata (and used the share prefs to keep them on the cache only). I'm still curious why an array directory will work and not a cache directory. Maybe others have tried this and are still stuck. D
September 4, 201411 yr Did you previously also set the share to cache only? Unraid doesn't care, if you copy to /mnt/cache or /mnt/user, it's a share, and if it's not cache only, the mover will move the files to the array. I always use /mnt/user, so any file copy goes through the fuse drivers. As long as the files are still on the cache drive, it shouldn't matter if you use /mnt/cache or /mnt/user...
September 4, 201411 yr However Tom has recommended that you try and use the disk path (/mnt/cache or /mnt/disk1) and not an actual user share. As Benni-chan mentioned, double-check your shares, and make sure your appdata share is configured as cache only. I have /mnt/cache/appdata/application for all my docker configs and it works fine.
September 4, 201411 yr I think Tom was talking about the actual docker.img being on a disk. In fact later in the release thread he mentions putting appdata on a share.
