September 5, 201411 yr Hello Everyone, I have installed the Crashplan 3.5.3 from http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/UnRAID5_Plugins. The installation went smoothly, however, the clients are not able to backup to the Crashplan instance running on UnRAID. Typically the clients are not able to connect to UnRAID's instance of Crashplan, however there have been times where a connection was made. Backups did not process despite the connected status. One time I was able to backup from UnRAID to a host. This job terminated immediately after disconnecting from the SSH tunnel following first configuration. What I have done: Restarted plugins, applications, and hosts for all computers involved Re installed installed the CrashPlan plugin on UnRAID and the software on each PC. Verified that the UnRAID server is listening on 4242 and 4243 via netstat. I can see the server is listening and each client has a status (establish, syn_sent, time_wait, etc). Even with an established status, the connection between a host and UnRAID is not necessarily active. Disabled the Windows firewall on both host machines Manually started CrashPlan service while root. Created a new CP identity on the UnRAID server Granted RWX permissions on Crashplan install directory as well as the backup destination directory. In the app.log file I noticed: diskSpace = DiskSpace[file = /, totalSpace = 0MB, freeSpace = 0MB, usedSpace = 0MB, capacity = 100.00% This seems incorrect and I have verified that Crashplan is configured to backup each host to an array folder. Does anyone have advice on where to go next?
September 5, 201411 yr Author Crashplan version 3.6.3 has a bug that will not allow pc-to-pc backups on devices with mismatched versions. In my case, UnRAID was running 3.5.3 and my hosts were running 3.6.3. I updated all instances of 3.5.3 in the plugin to 3.6.3, removed my existing Crashplan folders on UnRAID, rebooted. This solved the problem. Information about the bug can be found at https://helpdesk.code42.com/entries/40862773-Client-Version-Mismatch-Prevents-Computer-to-Computer-Backups.
