Just thinking out loud....

 

Leaving freshly-copied files on the cache disk has risks, until they are moved to the array by the mover.

 

How about a "flush cache disk" command, that would immediately move all the pending files from cache to the native array disk?

 

That way, a user can copy a batch of files to cache, and when done, fire off a mover script right away.
