September 7, 201411 yr I asked in another thread but given the slower traffic, am posting here as well. I currently have a docker for usenet apps and want independent docker images for madsonic, transmission, etc so the base repositories are separated. Can someone help me how to create a second docker image and add a container to it? Unraid docker configuration page has options to stop an image but no way to add another one.
September 7, 201411 yr I do not think that is how the docker.img file is meant to work! Think do docker.img as if it were a hard disk (that happens to be held in a file). It can contain as many different docker images (containers) as you want.
September 7, 201411 yr Author Thanks itimpi. So if we end up having containers based off different base images the docker image could get quite big! I was able to stop the container and increase the size to 10GB from 5GB. All the existing containers were unaffected. I do not think that is how the docker.img file is meant to work!
