SSL problem with NZBGET

Featured Replies

I didn't have this problem before it just started like a week ago, i get these errors.

handshake failed

Could not read from TLS-Socket: Connection closed by remote host

any one know what this means and have i can fix this?

Have you created the certificate that's to be used for ssl ? This is the .key and .cert file and do you have the configuration set to point to them?

sorry i have no idea how to do that, also why was Unraid working fine with SSL for years and just now its giving me problems?

Oh, you don't mean using SSL to browse to NZBGet. I thought that was the feature you were talking about.

Do you perhaps mean using SSL to connect up to your usenet providers?

yea i am using SSL to connect to a usenet provider that's where i see the errors and its causing it to hang on a connection making it download very slow now.

TLS handshake failed

anyways i installed perl and ca-certificates i still get the same problem.

I'd try setting up nzbget or sabnzbd on your computer and see if the problem occurs there.  This will let you know if it's a configuration issue on unRAID or a server issue.

Smart idea, i just installed nzbget on a windows machine i get the same

does this mean its the Usenet provider or could this be a router issue?

Thanks

Sounds like a server issue.  Make sure you're using the right port, many servers use SSL on different ports, 443, 563, 8080 - varies by server.  It could also be your ISP blocking it.

the downloading works its just that its slower looks like some of the connections timeout after sometime because of this. I will wait a few more days see what happens

THanks

Your ISP may be throttling SSL traffic.
