Sickbeard not working after upgrading from beta 8 to 9

Featured Replies

I just upgraded from beta 8 to beta 9 and I've got everything working except my sickbeard container. I have tried removing and recreating the container, but everytime I cannot access the web interface. Anyone have any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?

I'm getting that in the sickbeard log, I'm guessing that's whey it wont start...

2014-09-17 21:05:48 ERROR    MAIN :: Your database version (19) has been incremented past what this version of Sick Beard supports (18).

If you have used other forks of Sick Beard, your database may be unusable due to their modifications.

Got it working by renaming the sickbeard.db and renaming the old sickbeard.db.v18 to .db

I still am not sure why upgrading from beta 8 to 9 broke this, I'm just happy it's working again!

I came across the same issue, and thankfully it's an easy fix.

If you go to your SB config folder (/tower/appdata/sickbeard by default) you will see the sickbeard.db and sickbeard.db.v18. You can rename (or delete) sickbeard.db and then rename sickbeard.db.v18 to sickbeard.db

I think this happens if you update SB, and then have to reinstall the container, which contains an older version and can't talk to the database correctly. Thankfully SB creates a backup of the database you just need to restore the previous version.

anyone know how the versions of sickbeard got out of whack after the upgrade from beta 8 to 9? it's my only container that did something like this I didn't reinstall it, and I didn't think the upgrade process did either.

It has nothing to do with beta 8 to 9. I had the issue when I was setting up beta8 and I rebuild my containers - which were based on an older SB version than I had been running.

I don't know what your original issue was, but the process of you deleting and recreating the container is likely what caused this - not the beta upgrade itself.

I didn't do anything but the beta upgrade, afterwords all of my containers worked but sickbeard. That's why I'm confused on how the versions got out of sync.
