Network Just stopped working...

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have been running Unraid fine for many months now with out an issue.  Suddenly my network just stopped working. I've check everything I can think of and nothing has changed.  Any suggestions? what logs can I make available for some help?

What do you mean your network stopped working? Everything on your network? Just unRAID? Can't get to internet? Can't access files? Can't telnet? Can't ping? What?

I have a static IP setup.  I can not access my Unraid server via Putty.  from the server I can not ping anything.

Have you tried rebooting the server?

I have tried multiple times to reboot the server. I have not made any changes to my config. when I do a ifconfig eth0 it looks like it is receiving packets but not sending.  I've tried pinging the gateway and I still get no response.  My switch is fine.  I have no other issues from other machines on my network.

Does your mobo have dual Ethernet?  Can you try an alternate port?  Definitely want to see us get this resolved for you. Also, if possible, do this from a local command line:

cp /var/log/syslog /boot/syslog.txt

Then shutdown the server, unplug your flash device and move it to your PC.  Then copy that syslog.txt file from the flash device to your PC and upload here for us to review.
