IBM M1015 - S3 Sleep and WOL

Featured Replies

I am using Unraid for some years now, my linux knowledge is very low, most things i could handle with searching in forum and wiki, but now i stuck with s3 sleep and wol.

My sever:

unRAID Server Pro, Version 5.0.5

Plugins: dynamix, plex, serviio, sabnzbd

Motherboard: Intel DQ965GF

Processor: Intel Core™2 CPU 6700 @ 2.66GHz

Memory: 8192 MB (max. 8 GB)

Network: Intel Pro/1000 CT  eth0: 1000Mb/s - Full Duplex

6 data disks 2tb direct connected on MB SATA,

1 parity 2tb, 1 cache 500gb connected on DELOCK SATA II PCI Express controller card

Upgrade in progress: IBM M1015 SAS controller card and 2 more hdd´s

A few weeks ago i got 2 more data disks from my friend, so i ran out of SATA connections.

Next step was to find an SAS controller, i decided to buy an IBM M1015 and successfully crossflashed it to SAS2008.

The controller is working without errors, exept S3 sleep and wake on lan:

my server went to s3 sleep, when I wake up via WOL it powers on but without any possibility to communicate, no video or keyboard and also no luck via telnet.

When i cange dynamix Sleep settings to shutdown i can start with WOL successfully.

Without the IBM SAS controller my server went to S3 sleep with dynamix plugin or manualy via command on mainpage and came back on WOL as expected.

I changed nothing exept the connection to the hdd.

Maybe someone can help me to use S3 sleep again.
