Blank folders appearing in samba share on 6.0-beta9

Featured Replies

When I access a share via SAMBA, blank folders appear as seen in the below screenshot:

If I double-click them, I am taken back to the same folder in an endless, recursive, loop:

I do not see this when I display the folder's contents via an NFS mount or ls -lah.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I had the exact same thing happen to me...  What I figured what that when I was moving all the data from one disk to another via ubuntu that some glitch happened.

The way to solve it is to open a console (either locally or via putty) and rename the folder / files in question.  You will see that there are some "foreign" characters in the name.  Probably easiest through midnight commander
