thestewman
I had a new 4tb WD disk which I had previously run pre-clear. I used it as a test for a new install of SNAP. I did not write to the disk and it was not formatted. I confirmed SNAP was working properly. I stopped the array and included the drive as #10 (sdo). I rebooted Unraid and Unraid stated the disk could not be added until it was CLEARED. I ran CLEAR and then set the format as XFS. I formatted the disk and then started a Parity check. The Parity check is running extremely slow and states it needs 124 + days to complete. I also note the drive is still listed in the network list on my PCs as if it was still controlled by SNAP. It does not appear in the SNAP list. Any ideas how to clear up the Parity Check and the network listing ?[/img] syslog-2014-09-22.txt Quote Link to comment
thestewman
i did not get any response from any experienced users so decided to wander off into unknown territory. I stopped the Parity check that was scheduled to take 117+ days and stopped the array. I reconfigured using the routine within the Unraid menu and added all the drives back in the same order as the original configuration. Success. The new Parity Check is scheduled to take 6+ hours and I lost no data Quote Link to comment
