Can I add files during parity sync?

Well, I know I can because unRAID allows me to, but am I somehow screwing with the parity sync?  Will this step be valid if I'm adding and deleting files from the array while the sync is being processed?

    Its not a problem  Parity will be updated for the files in question, but your write speed will be slower
