September 30, 201411 yr Hi, I updated to Beta10a and see that they update the AFP to latest version. I never activated AFP prior to the Beta10a because I thought it wasn't playing well with Mavericks. I'm on Yosemite Dev. Preview 8 and the AFP of Unraid is seen in my Finder, but whenever I try to connect (tried: root, myCreatedUser), it always fail. What is the trick to be able to use AFP ?? Thanks,
September 30, 201411 yr After enabling AFP, did you then also select the security mode on individual shares you want to export via AFP? If you set security on the share in unRaid to 'Public' you should be able to connect immediately on OSX side. For Secure/Private you will need to create a user name on the unRaid side. Remember that user names in unRaid follow unix convention: Usernames may be up to 32 characters long and must start with a lower case letter or an underscore, followed by lower case letters, digits, underscores, or dashes. They can end with a dollar sign. In regular expression terms: [a-z_][a-z0-9_-]*[$]? This is in the Help for the Create User page. If after all this you still cannot connect, please file a Defect Report: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?board=61.0
October 2, 201411 yr Author Thanks! I didn't know they were a different "Share" properties for AFP. It wasn't there while it was my AFP was set to OFF.
