Just added a new cache drive, "auto" formatted it to btrfs, but default is xfs

Featured Replies

So, why did the cache get formatted to btrfs?  Just because it's needed for a cache pool, or is this a bug?

I don't have more than 1 slot assigned to cache, so it couldn't use a cache pool anyway.

I had my drive go unformatted while on btrfs, and it took my lots of effort to get it back, so I'm going to change it to xfs.

I just wanted to see if this is intended behavior, and if so, suggest it be changed to the default type if only one slot is assigned for the cache drive.

I saw a similar thing myself.  Wanting to use XFS I had to set the drop down menu to 1 disk only for cache.

The click on the disk and the new page that opens will now have the file system you want and should no longer be grayed out.
