October 8, 201411 yr Got my hands on an IBM Server Raid MR10i Raid Controller. Want to make it into IT mode - but I'm rather clueless on where to find the necessary firmware or the process involved. Found lots of info on BR10i & M1015 - nothing about MR10i. Can someone guide me here - I'm new to flashing Raid Controllers to HBA.
October 9, 201411 yr The guys in your other thread already found out, the controller has a LSI1078 chip. (Table 14, page 106) Here is a thread about another LSI1078 based card. Either nobody tried to flash it or nobody was successful doing so. For the latter I would have expected some more reports on the net...

I went through the search results and also found this. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=27115.msg237806#msg237806 Edit: I find this post to be a very useful collection! Unfortunately the only listed SAS1078 HBA seems to be incorrect since it's SAS1068 when looking at the spec. If there was an SAS1078 based HBA you could try to crossflash your card with that respective firmware - but first you have to find one!
