misunderstanding the docker concept

Not sure if I have this right..is the docker thing like using plug in ?... I was understood that I just paste a lone of text for the app I want, ie, plex..then it would install as docker. ??

    Your sig say you are still running a v5 rc. Docker can only be used on v6 (still beta). Read the stickies here and come back with better questions.
