October 14, 201411 yr I think the subject line almost says it all but for more detail ... I have a share called TV Shows among many others. In the Share page if I click "compute" on all my other shares I am presented with details concerning which disks the share resides on and how much space it is using. However, "TV Shows" does 'nothing'. After a few attempts I noticed at the very bottom I was seeing "Total Disk Usage 0" when working on "TV Shows" and then I started eyeballing the URL for the "compute" link. Long story short, I decided to rename the share to "TVShows" and badabingbadaboom compute works. Switch back to "TV Shows" and no worky again. So, Steps To Replicate: create a share with a space in the name and try to compute the size used on the share page.
October 14, 201411 yr Author hmmmm sorry, was that confusing? Restated: Computing share size on the Shares tab fails when the share name has a space in it. Renaming the share to remove the space solves the problem. but I would think the better solution would be to fix the handling of spaces. I'm assuming share usage is calculated with a script and I'm also guessing that script is not written well to deal with share names containing space.
October 14, 201411 yr No, sorry, just was wondering how something so fundamental got broken. It worked originally and I can see in the change history of the file where the bug got introduced but how it happened is a mystery, hence Fixed in next release.
October 14, 201411 yr Author oh haha sorry. I didn't catch that internal monologue from your first post ;-)
October 14, 201411 yr That's Funny. I was looking at the script the other day. It's sort of how I do my 'ftw'/cache_dirs on a specific share when I want to cache a share with a huge number of files. i.e. poor mans 'on demand' cache_dirs. I was baffled that it wasn't working as in unRAID 5 everything looks quoted appropriately.
