Did you remove this plugin? You need to install this plugin. Leave the plugin folder on the flash drive though. It's been included in b15 along with a ton a changes. Also under Settings/ VM  manager. Set enable VMs to yes.

Never had it, this is my first kvm setup, i just found where you enable it. (DUH). and it magically appears after you press apply Yeah, so im going to venture on my first VM.

thanks for the quick reply

So I as able to get my first kvm going however cannot install it due the disk not being recognized. So I read and downloaded the virt url and tried every driver no luck.

However I am trying to install a win 7 64 bit enterprise. Does it make a difference.

It should be the Windows 7 AMD 64bit driver.

I don't see any errors. All I see is the install for the virtio memory balloon driver. Which is for supposedly setting max mem to a higher value than current mem.  And it will balloon as needed.  Not sure it works though but installing the driver is ok.

sorry upload was too big

Did any other 64bit drivers install correctly? Which virtio drivers did you use? Stable version 81 or latest 100?  If stable you can click on parent directory and goto latest.

Well initially she. I just click ok to find drivers 3 of them installed. Then when my disk didn't show up I tried to browse to the directly of amd. 64 bit and tried both that appeared under that folder. One installed and the other have me the error.

I will re-download try again

Damn autocorrect

I was using version 100

i redownloaded it and tried again, I installed the following driver (see picture) I even tried the x86 still no drive.

Not sure what i am doing wrong.

FYI vm's are going to be on my cache drive.

You need the virtio scsi driver viostor.inf

Awesome, thanks that did it. where is the buy me beer button?

  • 3 months later...

I use unraid 6.0.1 and my plugins were up to date about a week ago.

I have a xubuntu VM running and I tried to create a windows VM but now I have these errors:

I also get Warning: fopen(/boot/config/domain.cfg): failed to open stream: Input/output error in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/include/DefaultPageLayout.php(278) : eval()'d code on line 20 Warning: fwrite() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/include/DefaultPageLayout.php(278) : eval()'d code on line 21 Warning: fclose() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/include/DefaultPageLayout.php(278) : eval()'d code on line 22 Warning: parse_ini_file(/boot/config/domain.cfg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/include/DefaultPageLayout.php(278) : eval()'d code on line 28

/boot/config/domain.cfg does not exist.

I saw an old post saying that I needed to go in the settings tab and click apply to recreate the file but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Worse, the plugin page now only has Dynamix webGui v2015.06.26 and unRAID Server OS v6.0.1

I'm at a loss for a next step

Edit: of course, now I see the deprecated all caps in the title...  Forget this message I'll post a new thread
