October 19, 201411 yr Hi, Does anyone found a J1900 mini itx MB with 5 sata ports and compatible with unraid ? I know there is the Supermicro X10SBA but I don't know how it will work with unraid and it's quite expensive. One of the only alternative I found recommended on the forums is ASRock AD2550R/U3S3 but it does not really compare with the Celeron J1900 in terms of performance (http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Celeron-J1900-vs-Intel-Atom-D2550). What's the better option for me if I want to get the best performance and keep my energy consumption quite low at the same time. Thanks
October 19, 201411 yr Get a miniITX with a 1150 socket and drop in a celeron. I did this, worked great and I'm in under $300 not including drives.
October 19, 201411 yr The ASRock Q1900-ITX looks interesting. Only 4 sata ports, but you could easily add a cheap sata card to up it to 6. That's probably what I would do given your requirements.
October 19, 201411 yr The X10SBA will work nicely with UnRAID. It not only has 6 SATA ports, but also an mSATA slot, which would be nice for a cache drive. It does cost a bit more, but it's tough to beat the quality of Supermicro boards ... and you won't need any add-in cards with this board. http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/celeron/X10/X10SBA.cfm
