October 21, 201411 yr I'm working on creating my Unraid server for my network, but sometimes I want to bring my server with me to friends and use it as a big USB drive because I can't connect it to the network. I know usb bridge cable exists, but I'm going to need drivers for unraid I have seen there are usb to ethernet cables but not Ethernet to USB cable, maybe it's the same and it's possible to invert there main goal. Thank You I'm sorry for my bad English, but I'm vietnam
October 28, 201411 yr There's USB network cards, and network systems that can share a pen drive... but this is what you can do with Unraid. If you don't want to connect to someones network you can use unraid on ethernet, with a fixed IP and use a network usb card to add it to the computer you want to attach. then use a fixed ip on the same range in this adapter and the computer will comunicate with both networks at the same time. You will probably need a crossed network cable, but not sure with current network cards with autocrossing. Make sure the network you use to connect unraid with the computer has no ip conflicts (is able to be routed) with the computer LAN. Regards
