I've been using a AOC-SASLP-MV8 in my server for years now with no problems up until now. I want to sleep the server and the AOC-SASLP-MV8 card stops it from waking properly.

 

My mobo is a ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3 and has 6 sata ports and the following attached:

AOC-SASLP-MV8

I want to remove the AOC-SASLP-MV8 for a more compatible WOL option and I'm fine replacing the 2 port card too if need be.

 

The mobo has:

1 x PCIe x16

1 x PCIe x1

2 x PCI

 

I need to be able to create 10 sata ports from them expansion slots, can anyone tell me the best way to do this?

    I am using a M1015/LSI 9211-8i (PCIe x8) flashed to IT-mode in that board...works everytime.
