Reading drive in Windows

Featured Replies

Hi,

I had a drive paying around for a while,  that I thought had a bunch of media files on it.  I don't have any slots left on my unraid server,  so I attached the drive (1TB) via USB to my W8 PC.

The drive reads as being empty (923free/931GB).

Is that the final word,  should I assume that it is indeed empty ?  Is there any other check that I can perform ?

Thanks.

Are you using any utility on your Win 8 computer which can read a Reiser Formatted Disk?  This is one that has been recommended in the past.

I have not personally used it because I haven't had the need so far...  ::)

OK,  thanks for the replies.  It looks like I had wiped the drive
