I'm getting close to maxing out my servers sata ports and will need to look to adding a pci express card one of these days.  Has anyone got a pci express card to work on the foxconn  N570SM2AA-8EKRS2H mobo?  It has 2-PCIEx16 slots and 2-PCIEx1 slots.  I realize this is an old board but I thought i would ask the community if anyone has used a sata card successfully with this board.

If you want my opinion:

 

Get a dell PERC  6/i and flash it to a LSI SAS3081E-R (in IT mode) if you have 2tb and under drives $40

 

or if you have above 2tb then get a  LSI 9211-8i (IBM M1015) $100

 

That should give you 8 ports with either card.  You can either use your 16x slots, or the 1x slots if you notch out the back of the 1x slot on the mobo so the card will fit.
