November 5, 201411 yr Hello all, I could use a bit of help figuring this out. I am running plex on my unraid server. Plex has been running fine until recently my public ip changed and I needed to change my domain name forwarding to reflect this. after updating my DNS records all my other services came back online (transmission, my main unraid page) but not Plex. I can access plex via 10.0.1.4:32400/web/index.html#!/dashboard I can access plex remotely via personal.mydomain.com:32400/web/index.html#!/dashboard I can access plex using this iOS app while on my LAN at home However I cannot access my server while trying to use the iOS app remotely Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. ? I have tried changing the port forwarding on my router to 32768 (as seen in the photo above) this stopped plex from working in any way so i reverted back to 32400 and am back at square one here. Update: I just tried to manually add a connection to my server using the iOS app. I get a dialogue box that says, "Unable to add connection. The server returned an unexpected response."
November 10, 201411 yr Hi unfun, Your ports are different on the 2 screen shots you've supplied there. I assume you've fixed that up based on what you said at the bottom of your post. I wouldn't change the default plex port myself. Have you run through these troubleshooting pointers on the plex site? https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200931138-Troubleshooting-Server-Connections With your IP change the ports may have dropped, so you might have to manually set up port forwarding again. Also uncheck that manually specify a port. If you're leaving it as default you shouldn't have it ticked.

Check the time on the hardware clock of your server. This can be done through the bios menu, or through the command hwclock I fixed all of my issues by disconnecting my server, resetting my HWclock and reconnecting. Plex is running like a dream now
