XBMC on a 360 is not possible.

as an aside anyone that hasnt checked out XBMC should.

J. River Media Center for FLAC

Media Player Classic - Homecinema for Video

Windows Media Player for MP3

Wife uses Windows XP Media Center 2005 for Video and iTunes for Audio.

My HTPC and my workstation are running XP SP3.

PS3 now, Ion + XBMC when the Nvidia gpu acceleration is further along in development. Media Portal uses directx filters so it would probably be adequate until then. Its UI isn't as nice as XMBCs though.

I got my xbox all softmoded today and all is up and running swimmingly.

I have been streaming the .iso files from the server for the past 45 min. and everything is working great.  I have added my DVD user share long with a couple others that contain music and other shows.

If anyone has an xbox i highly recommend using this guide and setting up the softmod.

xLobby is my media center, running on windows XP home

Sage TV with on board Raid5. Also an HD extender.  UnRaid serves as overflow until I can afford a pro license for a cache disk to record directly on..

BeyondTV

Avid J River Media Center user here. I use it principally for video!

After getting some stuttering video in Meedio, I'm now testing XBMC and Boxee.

plex!

it plays 1080p content over my 100mb network (for now) network, running it on 2 mac minis and a hackintosh

I can't believe no one has mentioned GBPVR yet, I have been using it for years and it has heaps of functions and plugins. It is also freeware and supports server/client setup so you can watch live TV etc through the network. It compares well to MediaPortal but it is a lot more stable. Check it out.

I tried GBPVR a long while back, then moved to media portal, then MCE, and have since been on SageTV (I like that there is no distinction between live tv and recorded in SageTV).  I keep thinking about giving GBPVR another try.

-  HTPC (Vista)

- Astone Media Gear AP-100 Full HD 1080p Network Media Player

I use Plex on two of our Macs that are connected to the LCD TVs.

I am using PS3 with PS3Mediaserver and Twonky Server. So far so good -although I have to convert almost all my HD-media (MKV files) using MKV2VOB.

I'm using TViX 6500, plays everything I need. DVD,MP3, FLAC, MKV,M2TS,BD-ripp and full BD disc, all this over NFS  ;D

SageTV on an ASUS M3A motherboard with Phenom 9500 and 2GB Crucial Ballistix Tracer Memory

a Hauppauge HVR-2250 and two PVR-500MCE for recording.

I record to three 250GB Sata2 drives on my HTPC and then after two weeks move recordings to my unRaid server

Currently I have over 4000 Recordings of various movies and series (media access times have gotten better with beta 11)

I can record a new show and not watch it until it has been picked up for a full season ... or the next season ... now ;-)

As of yesterday, XBMC Live on an Acer Aspire Revo.

As of yesterday, XBMC Live on an Acer Aspire Revo.

I've switched also.

I still have and sometimes use my Zensonic Z-500, but now I have an Acer 330-HT with a SSD and XBMC. Boots up to user interface in 20 seconds.

:)

XBMC on 2 x XBox's

XBMC on Shuttle w/ XP Pro SP3

PS3MediaServer to 2 x PS3's (so far, he he)

Tried Tversity but found it a bit clunky, thought PS3MediaServer isn't any better, but a solution for unraid that works.

Can't say enough for XBMC though, whether on XBox1 or a HTPC.

Now if i could get Unraid to work with mythtv with the tuner cards installed, might not need so many PC's hanging around. hmmm, still alot of work to be done.    ;D

SageTV is the one for me, it's the only one out there with 'true' client/server architecture.

-PGPfan

XBMC on Revo R3610 running Win7.

My media is currently located on a MediaSmart WHS server soon to be replaced by unRaid... can't wait! :)

I was fairly happy with the "plug and play" WD TV Live (with USB Wi-Fi). I stayed on the stock firmware which only had a slight video studded. I avoided the bricking of FW .12 and version .11 was unusable because of a terrible audio sync bug. The newest FW released a few days ago didn't fix anything and when I turned on my WD it forced me to update. Now, I can't watch anything until the audio problem is address. F$#K!

I'm going to go with the Popbox due out in March.

XBMC Live 9.11 on Acer Revo 330

unRaid + PS3MediaServer for PS3 playback.

So far I am liking XBMC can play almost everything I throw at it without re-encoding (MKV2VOB).
