hello,

 

    Hope some one can help me out. I currently running ver 5.0 on old a mobo setup. I have a new mobo ready to swap. Can I just plug current USB into the new system?

    Yes you should be able to do this without issue. Just make sure you configure the BIOS to boot off the USB drive and you should be fine. With 5.0 disk assignments don't matter so you can plug any drive into any port on the new mb and it should just work.
