Volume has incorrect size when mounted with AFP

Featured Replies

My UnRAID box has worked flawlessly with all 3 Macs I have been backing up with Time Machine, for many months.  The whole UnRAID system is incredibly stable and it is a very welcome part of my home computing environment.

I got a new Mac, which is running Yosemite 10.10.  I am running UnRAID 5.0.6, which I yesterday upgraded from RC13.

When I mount my Time Machine share with SMB, the correct volume size appears (3 TB).  But when I mount it with AFP, my Mac reports that it is 1.05 GB in size.  I can create sparse bundle files, but not write to them, when it is mounted with AFP.

I have done a Reiserfsck on the volume, which reported no problems.

Help!

This share is limited to 1000MB = 1GB. Increase the size.

Doh!

I'm not saying it wasn't my blunder, but to me it is counterintuitive that the capacity of a data store depends on the protocol you use to access it.
