November 11, 201411 yr I'm trying to figure out how to install SabNzbd and failing miserably. There doesn't seem to be one post / wiki entry covering the installation, so I'm having to wade through a bunch of different sites. Here is what I did so far: -Used unRAID GUI to create an apps folder that resides on the cache drive only -Created two (2) sub folders using Windows Explorer in that apps folder for sabnzbd and nzbdrone -Downloaded the PhAzE plugin for sabnzbd (the wiki says to use the Influencer plugin, but the forum says otherwise) -Copied sabnzbd.plg to \\tower\flash\plugins using Windows Explorer -ran "installplg sabnzbd.plg from telnet session When I did that, I got this error message: Warning: simplexml_load_file(): I/O warning : failed to load external entity "sabnzbd.plg" in /usr/local/sbin/installplg on line 13 xml parse error Anyone know what I did wrong? Is there a current walk through for people that don't know Linux for the installation of sabnzbd? Thanks! syslog.txt
November 11, 201411 yr Author I got it to install. It was a combination of Firefox forcing a .txt extension on the file no matter how I tried to rename it during the download process. I ended up having to use IE for the download and it allowed me to change the file extension in the Save As dialog box. I now see SABNzbd on the settings page! I have a few questions about what setting to use for installation. Are these changes to the defaults correct? Here are my choices: Enable SABnzbd - Yes Install Directory - /mnt/cache/apps/sabnzbd Custom Admin Directory - unchecked Custom Logs Directory - unchecked Config Directory - /mnt/cache/apps/sabnzbd Custom Cache Directory - /mnt/cache/apps/sabnzbd Port - 8081 SSL Port - unchecked Run as User - nobody Use BETA release - No Show Storage Memory Usage - Yes Show data persistence Information - Yes Are those the correct settings?
