[SOLVED] Can't locate new drive on Menu

Current unRAID 5.0.6 array is full.  Trying to add a second 500Gb drive to an existing parity and data drive of same size.  An old Dell/Intel MB supports only PCI slots.  I am trying to add a 2 port SATA PCI card from Silicon Image (SIL 3512) to support an unformatted Seagate SATA Desktop internal drive.  Neither the Main or unMenu displays recognize disk2.  Thought this would be an easy update.

 

My array runs from Linux 3.9 on a USB stick and my pc runs Ubuntu Llinux 14.04.  Question 1 - do I have to reset  my server bios setup to see the new disk?  Question 2 - do I need to download an additional driver?  If so, where - on the server, usb stick, or pc?  Both the drive and the card came with installation disks, but as always they are for Windows.  All help will be appreciated.
