Hello everyone,

My First post here.

I am looking to build an UnRaid Server after a couple of my drives died in the last 2 months and I got burned.

For starters, I will have 7 HDD but want space to grow to at least 10-12 HDD in total.

The case I have chosen is the popular Fractal Design R4 with (8 internal bays and room for extra 4 internal using cages).

I am now looking for a motherboard that will be able to support 10-12 HDD

Purpose

The server will primarily be a storage solution but I will later add plex to it with maximum 2 simultaneous devices transcoding ability (mainly 720p but would like ability to do 1080p)

The CPU i chose is the Intel Core i3-4360 Haswell Dual-Core 3.7GHz

Please recommend a couple of  Motherboard that will have IPMI/ECC RAM and enough SATA ports to cover my needs.  If possible, without the need to add any SATA controllers.

I am in canada and may not have access to everything available in the US.

Many Thanks in advance for your time

Thanks guys... To connect  my hdd using the on board Sas,  would it require different type of cabling like breakout? Or the usual data cables.  Sorry I am not well versed in Sas.
