Docker will not start

Featured Replies

I do not understand what i am doing so this may be obvious but i am striking out finding a solution.

I upgraded from unraid 5 to unraid 6 beta 10a. I am trying to install docker to setup apps like crashplan, plex, etc. I am unable to get docker to start.

I have formatted my cache drive to use the btrfs filesystem. I have configured the following path for docker. /mnt/cache/docker/docker.img

I manually created the docker.img file and when i attempted to start docker, this file went from zero bytes to 10GB.

The thing that stands out in the syslog is this:

Nov 20 20:37:26 UNRAID php: /etc/rc.d/rc.docker start

Nov 20 20:37:26 UNRAID php: Not starting Docker: /dev/loop8 already in use

Nov 20 20:37:26 UNRAID php:

Nov 20 20:38:16 UNRAID php: /etc/rc.d/rc.docker start

Nov 20 20:38:16 UNRAID php: Not starting Docker: mount error

Any suggestions? Attached is my syslog after a fresh reboot.

No one has any suggestions or ideas?

Is there something i can do to make sure no previous apps i had installed are causing a conflict. Previously i had unmenu running with scheduled parity checks, email daemon and btsync.

For the upgrade i erased the flash drive and formatted like a new 6.Beta10a install. I then proceeded to copy the 5.05 /config folder back to the new 6.Beta10a flash drive. As part of troubleshooting i deleted everything in the plugins folder and replaced the 5.05 file called 'go' with the file that was included with the 6Beta10a package. From what i can tell i dont see any references to previously installed applications.
