I'm trying to upgrade from 5.0-rc12a to the 5.0.6 however after replacing the 3 files as per 5.0-rc9 through 5.0-rc16c section of this wiki article http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Upgrade_Instructions, the server doesn't come up. I'm running headless and don't have an external screen handy to check where it fails. I was able to reverse back to rc12 from a backup I created earlier however I'd like to know:

 

- is it worth troubleshooting if I only have few plugins installed?

- if I wanted to start fresh, will my array and network configuration be easy to replicate? Will I be able to just copy the Configuration folder over to the new flash drive?

Try booting your PC with the updated USB drive and see what happens. You may need to rerun makebootable.bat.

yes, I tried to boot the server from the updated drive with no success, then as per wiki, i re-run the batch file to make the drive bootable however that didn't help. At this point I'm just considering to start fresh.
