ewingr
I realize that security is different. But not sure what I need to do to access flash. I see it on a pick list if I browse to it. When I click on it, I get a message that Flash refers to a location that is unavailable. I tried mapping a drive and entering the user name of root, and also I tried the username \\tower\root, and entered the password I set up, but in both cases, it just brings up a window saying "Attempting to connect to \\tower\flash", and nothing every happens. Any guidance appreciated. Link to comment
sureguy
Can you access it from the console? Link to comment
ewingr
Just tried. It apparently shows up as boot from the console. So I tried mapping boot, same responses. Link to comment
dgaschk
Root is not allowed share access in version 5+. Create a new user for share access. Link to comment
ewingr
I actually did, and tried it and it didn't work...last night. But I think the new user did not get created for some reason. I went through the motions of creating the user again last night and still could not get to flash. But, now I can. Maybe it needed time to finish some machinations of the configuration. Thornwood
User names are all lowercase.... Un written rule. If you put a uppercase any ware on the user name it won't be created. Link to comment
switchman
@ewingr Did you export the share? From the main menu, click the link for the flash drive. Make sure it is exported and public. Link to comment
