Parity check errors

Featured Replies

I have a long standing issue that I need to resolve with my unRaid v4.7 Basic Server  (MB:SuperMicro, CPU:AMD Opteron, RAM:2GB ECC, PSU: Corsair 430CX, HD:(3)2TB WDRed). The issue is every time I preform a parity check I receive > 50 new errors.  This situation has forced me to change my workflow to include a two hour party check before each work session.  I am concerned that if I do not performed the party check I will not be able to trust the integrity of my data.  What steps should I take to troubleshoot the problem. Thanks for your help...

Are they at the same location each time?

Are you doing correcting checks?

It only takes you 2 hours to do a full parity check? That seems really fast, even with only 3 2TB Reds.

A full syslog from a session with 2 back to back parity checks would help diagnose the issue. Smart reports on all the drives could be helpful as well.
