buck09
I'm planning to build myself a new unraid server in a norco 4224. I plan on running sadnzbd and sickbeard I will start off with a 6tb parity and two 6tb server drives and a 200+GB ssd. I want to spend as little as I have to whole still being decent performance. The only verified builds I have been able to find are years old and no stickies on the forums. If you need any more information from me then please ask. And if you know of other topics with known good builds, you can just link me. Thanks so much Quote Link to comment
kitono
Funny I'm looking to do nearly the exact same thing except I also want to run it on a virtualization platform to have other VMs running (like win7, osx, plex) using server grade hardware for lasting performance. so far i've got this http://pcpartpicker.com/p/w9hDhM but I don't think I've got the right motherboard. I've been trying to get help because I'm not sure what kind of connections I need to go from the norco to the motherboard/cards. Quote Link to comment
mr-hexen
The Norco uses 8087 connectors. Supermicro Sata Card uses the same. motherboard to norco use reverse breakout SATA to 8087. Quote Link to comment
