BTSync and CIFS/SMB file corruption

I installed Phaze's BTSync plugin, and it works fine on initial test. But I found this thread on official BTSync forums where admins say that use of CIFS/SMB shares are not recommended with the program.

Not sure if the thread is relevant for unRAID, but it sure got me scared. Has anyone had issues with corrupted files with BTSync on unRAID?
