Can i run/host a (Hyper-V) VHDX on unraid 6.0?

Featured Replies

I've made a .VHDX image from my (company) windows 7 laptop so it runs in Windows 8.1's Hyper-V environment.

Without getting into details, i'll read up later, but with unraid 6.0, is it possible to host/run this .VHDX image as well?

Any topics/links i should read to get more info on this?

Nothing? Can't be done? I thought unraid 6 could host vm's?

Or is this the wrong topic?

Unraid can host VMS under KVM or xen, not hyper v.

I've just read there was Hyper-V support in unraid? Or did i misread?

I've lost count on all that has changed the last few months...  :-\

If you have a hyper v host server and want to run unraid as a guest under hyper v, we have added driver support for that. We have no documentation on this or how to do it, but another community member had asked for this and we did it in beta 12.
